In 2015, communities across the United States passed 83 complete street policies. With these 82 new policies, a total of 899 complete street policies are now in place.
Each year, the National Complete Streets Coalition analyzes the new complete streets policies and scores the policy language. The ideal policies include a community’s vision for transportation, provide for many different types of users, meet community needs, and have a flexible project delivery approach.
