Our friends at the Safe Routes to School National Partnership are looking for someone to serve as their California Advocacy Organizer. The advocacy organizer will work with partner groups, public agencies and others to achieve the organization’s policy goals.
The organizer would be based in Northern California and would work to maintain and strengthen the state’s network to achieve three main policy objectives: leveraging funding for bicycle and pedestrian construction projects; facilitating street-scale improvements through the adoption of complete streets policies; and advancing joint-use agreements between cities and school districts and additional state policies.
The application deadline for the position is May 7 at 5 p.m. PST, although applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The gig’s starting annual salary is between $48,000 and $52,000, and benefits include health insurance and paid time off.
